King David cricketers dominate Old Eds Awards

25 November 2015
King David Linksfield cricketers won nine out of 15 Junior awards at the annual Gunn & Moore Old Edwardian Cricket Awards held on 15 October 2015 in Houghton, Johannesburg.

The Old Eds Junior Cricket Programme takes place from October to March every year and is very popular amongst U9 to U13 King David cricketers, with over 150 children participating in coaching clinics and weekly matches.

Head Coach Itai Mapandzure was very pleased with the progress made by the KDL players in the 2014-15 season: “The boys are very passionate about cricket and dedicated to their training. They have responded well to our coaching programme and I hope they will continue to develop their skills going forward,’’ he added.

The KDL Award winners were as follows:

U13 Best Bowler: Daniel Joseph

U13 Best All Rounder: Riki Toubkin

U11 Best Bowler: Benjamin Bernstein

U11 Best Batsman: Tyler Sandler

U11 Best All Rounder: Benjamin Stone

U11 Most Improved: Jaden Kushner

U9 Best Bowler: Jared Stern
