Maccabi SA Junior Cricket – Quest to defend gold medal begins

Maccabi SA has participated in Junior Cricket at the last 3 Maccabiot (2005, 2009 & 2013), winning the gold medal in all three tournaments and replicating the success of the senior cricket team that has dominated Maccabi cricket since the 1973 Games. Maccabi SA is fortunate in that the standard of cricket coaching in schools is excellent and allows for an easy transition for the team to the Maccabiah level of cricket.

There are so many talented persons of all ages accomplishing significant feats on the sports field, including competitive, traditional/extreme sports and recreational activities, and we would love to hear about it!

Theodore Yach conquers his 100th Robben Island Crossing

Theodore Yach who competed at the 2005 Maccabiah in the SA Water Polo Team and as a masters swimmer at the 2007 Pan-American Maccabi Games in Argentina (winning two silver medals and a bronze) reached another major milestone in his swimming career.
