There was a feeling of camaraderie, unity and friendship as Maccabi SA hosted its first lawn bowls tournament in 18 years at Killarney Country Club in Johannesburg. Over 40 bowlers came together to be a part of this symbolic and social tournament which took place over two Sundays, the 14th<\/sup> and 21st<\/sup> September 2014.<\/p>\n The very successful event was aimed at reigniting the Maccabi passion for lawn bowls amongst current Jewish bowlers and also those who hadn\u2019t been involved for a while.<\/p>\n The overall winner of the tournament was Stan Friedman who was presented with the re-established Herb & Paul Nathan Trophy, by Brenda Nathan, wife of the late Paul Nathan.
