Assisted by ForwardZone, seven professional soccer coaches, some of whom are current and ex-professional players, held a pre-season Soccer Clinic for all the King David High School Victory Park teams. The coaches included Andile Dlamini, current Banyana Banyana goalkeeper; Caesar Maphalla, former professional player and current Bidvest Wits Under 19 Coach; and Godfrey Malambule, former Orlando Pirates Academy Coach. In addition, all of KDVP’s coaches assisted and learned some valuable tips from the experts. The players were taken through their paces for over two hours and got to experience the type of drills and exercises that would take place in any professional team.

The aim of this clinic was to boost the quality of football in our Jewish schools. Maccabi South Africa aims to continuously improve standards, to educate and encourage the Jewish community to get active and participate in sporting activities and events.
