In September 2014 Maccabi SA hosted its first lawn bowls tournament in 18 years at Killarney Country Club in Johannesburg. Over 40 bowlers came together to be a part of this symbolic and social tournament aimed at reigniting the Maccabi passion for lawn bowls. The overall winner of the tournament was Stan Friedman who was presented with the re-established Herb & Paul Nathan Trophy by Brenda Nathan, wife of the late Paul Nathan.
