As part of Maccabi SA’s strategy to encourage and support excellence, especially amongst our young Jewish sportspersons, Maccabi SA donated three new trophies to the school. Members of the Maccabi SA Senior Executive were also in attendance to support the event and present the Awards to the winners:

• Maccabi Award for Senior Girls Netball Player of the Year: Talia Blumenfeld
• Maccabi Award for Senior Boys Football Player of the Year: Ro-ee Tal
• Maccabi Award for Senior Girls Football Player of the Year: Amy Lee Modlin

Over 40 awards were presented on the evening, including four main awards:

• Best Sportsman – Benjamin Gruskin
• Best Sportswomen – Kayla Bernstein
• Paul Sender Trophy for Commitment to Rugby – Greg Surmany
• Beyachad Trophy for Commitment to Sport – Riley Freeman

Maccabi SA salutes all the athletes who demonstrated determination and commitment, and through preparation, discipline and training excelled on the sports field.
