Health & Wellness

Maccabi SA is uniquely positioned to provide real value for our community through sport and all of its associated benefits. One of our key goals is to deliver an ongoing programme of sporting and recreational activity for all ages and genders, thus presenting an antidote to sedentary lifestyles which has numerous health and wellness benefits.

Children are at particular risk of becoming overweight and developing health problems due to lack of exercise coupled with bad eating habits. In 2016 we will be focussing on “de-couching’’ the youth by encouraging kids to participate in outdoor activities. We will be working with schools and other community organisations, for example Jewish Youth Movements, to literally mobilise kids, tweens, teens and students to get moving.
