Maccabi Tel Aviv are Girls Futsal Champions

Maccabi WP recently launched a Girls Futsal League which ran for four weeks with matches held every Sunday at Herzlia High School. The Maccabi Haifa and Tel Aviv teams were joined by players from Brooklyn Sports and Development and Aspire Soccer Academy.

Exceptional Table Tennis skills on display

On Sunday 25 October 2015 Maccabi SA hosted an Inter-Jewish Schools Table Tennis Tournament at King David Linksfield Primary School in Johannesburg. Four Jewish Schools and an invitational team took part in the event that was divided into U15 and U18 age groups.

Orienteering added to 2017 Games schedule

Maccabi World Union has announced that Orienteering will be included in the 2017 Maccabi Games for the first time as a competitive sport. However, at least 50 orienteers from five countries, in addition to Israel, must express their interest to participate for the event to be confirmed.

Maccabi South Africa’s inaugural involvement in EMG 2015 was a resounding success. The SA delegation of 37, which comprised three futsal teams and two swimmers, won ten medals overall including five gold, three silver and two bronze.

On 10 May 2015 Maccabi SA launched the first event of its social Mountain Biking group. The ride took place along the Braamfontein Spruit in the Victory Park area. A great turnout of 20 riders, including seven juniors, were divided into groups according to riding ability.
