Maccabi SA sent one gymnast to the 1935 Games and only competed again in 1961 when the very talented Edna Fisher achieved three gold medals. In 1973, the team bagged an impressive nine medals and this strong performance continued through to 1997 when Steven Friedman won three golds. Our gymnasts participated again in 2013, winning a bronze medal.
There are many talented young gymnasts in the community and there has been renewed interest in sending a team to the 2022 Games.
